Kimberley Secrets, the youngest and most inexperienced horse in the field, won the SERA Country Championship Heat over 1400m at Moruya. From her wide barrier, she jumped well, to be five wide early and Jess Taylor continued her forward to a clear lead, where she settled perfectly. Jess kicked her on the turn when the favourite started to challenge, but under a great ride from Jess, she fought on strongly to win by half a length. A great effort from this 3yo filly who had only won a only Class 1 seven weeks earlier, and now onward to the final at Randwick.
