THE TRAINER
Nick Olive is a name that resonates throughout the industry as the Gr1 winning trainers of the superstar mare Single Gaze. This experienced horseman is far from a one trick trainer, and continues to be recognised as NSW best regional trainers.

Nick has formal tertiary qualifications in horse management from the University of New England and over thirty years experience in the industry. Nick had worked several years in the stud and breeding industry before moving into thoroughbred racing. The mix of professional education and wide industry experience, coupled with his passion and dedication for training thoroughbreds is the key to Nick’s striking success rate.

Nick Olive Racing made a name for itself in the nation's capital of Canberra before Nick made the decision to shift to the nearby racing hub of Queanbeyan, NSW. This move allowed him to capitalise on the lucrative NSW racing scene, and the relaxed country set up enabled a more hands on approach.

No one can overlook his impact on the racing industry as he nears 600 winners and more recently it was Spicy Lu who lit up Royal Randwick on Day 2 of The Championships. This win emphasised the expertise of his training methods and the ability to match it with the premier trainers in Australia.

Nick is the good guy of racing with most of his peers referring to him as a 'champion fella' who is very respectful toward all involved with his stable.
